Stewart Taylor takes a rare break from manning the embers
The weekend of 27th and 28th June saw the annual East London Printmakers summer open studios. For two days the studio was transformed with new works on the walls, print browsers and displays of artist’s cards and books and demonstrations of bookbinding, linocut printing, collograph and screenprinting as well as a cake stall, barbecue, live bands and a live art performance.
The event is open to the public and is part of ELP’s aim to give its 140 members maximum exposure and a chance to sell their work direct to the public, as well as a marketing tool for the studio itself, attracting new people to our open access sessions, workshops and to join as members.
