Katy Goutefangea has been printing some lovely fabrics using discharge inks. These inks are used to embed the colour into the fabric instead of just plonking it on top.

An exhibition of linocut and woodcut prints curated by Nick Morley.
ELP members Peter Rapp, Victoria Browne, Umberto Giovannini, Euan G. Stewart and Nick Morley are exhibiting at Stour Space at the beginning of next month. Each artist has been selected for their innovative and diverse approach to the medium.
Private view is on the 6th March from 7pm and the exhibition is running until the 31st March!

Here is a sneaky clip of the hand pulled, screen printed, concertina book Richard Roberts is working on at the moment. The series of prints focusses on old shop front typography.
Richard is based in Hackney and is a key holder here at East London Printmakers. He specialises in photo polymer etching and screen printing. These are four colour screen prints…and mighty fine registration too.

This March ELP will be hosting a talk by Nick Scott looking at the impact working in traditional print methods has had on the creative decisions he has made in his work regardless of the end medium.
Nick has been producing artwork for the past ten years as narcsville, working with a wide variety of clients across the arts. Clients include The Cribs, Wild Beasts, Kate Nash, Dockers, Diesel, Umbro, and Wolf Magazine. He has also collaborated with a variety of filmmakers, stylists, art directors, and designers helping to introduce print techniques into their work. He has featured in Grafik, Creative Review, Dazed & Confused, & The Face.
His experience in print stems from his time studying graphic art & communication at Leeds Metropolitan University, during which he worked extensively with the local music scene.
